First 90 Days - Turning Strategies into Actions

Last night, someone mentioned that I need to be more specific about what I’ll do in my first 30-60-90 days — like I’m starting a new job.   I like that idea. Because this is a job — to serve you.

Galinis Announces First Motion as City Commissioner Candidate: Weight Limits to Stop Trash Trains Fort Pierce, Fla. — Candidate for City Commission Jaimebeth Galinis announced today that her first motion upon taking office will be to establish strict maximum weight limits on the key roads leading to and from the Fort Pierce rail yard. “These limits will be designed to effectively prevent the heavy dump trucks connected to the Miami-Dade trash train operation from using Fort Pierce as their transfer point,” Galinis said. “If the loads are too heavy for our roads, they’re too heavy for our city.” The proposed ordinance would: •Restrict truck tonnage on Georgia Ave, Sunrise Dr, Hayes St, and S. 3rd St to protect residential areas and infrastructure. •Authorize enforcement and penalties, including fines, permit suspensions, and increased fees for violators. •Mandate ongoing monitoring and data reporting on truck traffic and road wear. “Fort Pierce should not be the dumping ground for other counties’ garbage,” Galinis continued. “This motion ensures we take immediate, lawful steps to protect our neighborhoods, infrastructure and reclaim our community’s dignity.”

Jaimebeth Vows a Pathway for Fiscal Accountability in Her First 15 Days FORT PIERCE, FL — Candidate for City Commission Jaimebeth Galinis is pledging to take on one of Fort Pierce’s biggest challenges right away: a city budget that doesn’t balance. According to the City’s official FY 2026 Proposed Budget (cityoffortpierce.com), the General Fund and multiple departmental budgets show expenditures exceeding projected revenues, requiring the City to draw on reserve balances and one-time revenues to make up the difference. “We cannot continue operating year to year with a budget that’s underwater,” Galinis said. “That’s not fiscal stewardship — that’s survival mode. By Day 15, I’ll start fixing that.”

Jaimebeth Galinis Marks First 30 Days with Push for Transparent City Dashboards FORT PIERCE, FL — Candidate for City Commission Jaimebeth Galinis today outlined her 30-Day Action Plan milestone: launching public-facing City Dashboards to track performance, projects, and spending — giving residents real-time visibility into how their tax dollars are being used. “Transparency shouldn’t stop at the door of City Hall,” Galinis said. “It’s time residents could see what’s being done, when it’s being done, and how their money is being managed — all in one place.” The proposed Fort Pierce Dashboards will display clear data for each major department, including: •Public Works: Road and infrastructure repairs, project timelines, completed vs. pending work orders. •Police: Response times, community engagement initiatives, officer recruitment progress. •Code Enforcement: Active cases, resolution times, and compliance rates. •Finance: Budget vs. actual spending, reserve levels, and grant tracking. •Planning: Development permits and progress updates by district. “When residents can track outcomes, accountability improves — because what gets measured, gets managed,” Galinis added. These dashboards would use accessible visuals — simple charts, maps, and timelines — so every resident can check in without technical barriers.   In addition, Galinis reaffirmed her plans to: •Meet quarterly with department heads and the City Manager to review metrics. •Publish monthly performance summaries online. •Host community meetings to gather resident feedback on what data matters most. “My goal is a city government that earns trust through visibility — not spin,” said Galinis. “By Day 30, we start turning City Hall into a window, not a wall.”

Jaimebeth Galinis Releases White City Overlay Plan to Protect Neighborhood Character Fort Pierce, FL — Candidate for City Commission District 2, Jaimebeth Galinis, released today her Day 45 initiative, a plan to advance a White City Overlay designed to protect neighborhood character while supporting smart, balanced growth. Under Galinis’ proposal, the White City Overlay will strengthen height and density standards, ensure infrastructure capacity aligns with growth, and preserve the small-community feel residents value most. “Growth is important — but it has to make sense for the people who already live here,” said Galinis. “This plan will create the guardrails we need to preserve our neighborhoods while promoting thoughtful, compatible investment.” The initiative aligns with Galinis’ Fort Pierce Forward platform, which focuses on transparent planning, community engagement, and preserving local decision-making authority against state-level overreach.

Jaimebeth Galinis Announces Day 60 & 75 Plans to Strengthen City Infrastructure and Neighborhoods Fort Pierce, FL — Continuing her Change in Action commitment, Jaimebeth Galinis today released her Day 60 and Day 75 plans focused on improving Fort Pierce’s infrastructure and reinvesting in neighborhood essentials — from lighting and sidewalks to drainage and beautification. The initiatives will establish a full infrastructure audit and create a citywide schedule for maintenance and improvement, ensuring long-term accountability and equitable resource allocation. “Residents see where our city is falling short — from broken sidewalks to dark streets to outdated drainage systems,” said Galinis. “Our plans prioritize real, visible improvements that impact safety, property values, and community pride.” The combined effort builds on Galinis’ focus on smart planning, data-driven budgeting, and neighborhood reinvestment as part of her first 90 days in office.

Jaimebeth Galinis Releases Day 90 Plan for Citywide Financial Audit and Accountability Fort Pierce, FL — Candidate for City Commission District 2, Jaimebeth Galinis, today announced her Day 90 initiative, a comprehensive Citywide Financial Audit to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and ensure taxpayer funds deliver visible, measurable results. The proposed audit would review every department’s budget and spending practices, modernize reporting, and create public dashboards for transparency. “Fort Pierce taxpayers deserve to know where every dollar goes,” said Galinis. “This audit will give residents that visibility — exposing waste, driving efficiency, and restoring trust through transparency.” The initiative is part of Galinis’ Fort Pierce Forward platform to modernize operations, apply data-driven accountability, and set a higher standard of governance for Fort Pierce.

Jaimebeth Galinis is a leader with a vision for progress and positive change. Her passion for serving our community and her drive to make a difference set her apart. With a focus on action and collaboration, Jaimebeth is determined to create a better and thriving Fort Pierce. Her dedication to getting the job done - RIGHT - will be key to moving Fort Pierce Forward.
